According to one dictionary description, “Printmaking is the process of creating artworks by printing, normally on paper."
It continues, "Printmaking normally
covers only the process of creating prints that have an element of originality, rather than just being a photographic reproduction of a painting."
Another very short description is “the creation of beautiful or significant things.”
Prints: On The Wall
Prints: Off The Wall
is a combination of these descriptions.
Normally on paper? Not necessarily! Given the creative use and advances in inks, dyes, materials and technology, prints can be almost on any surface and not always on the wall!
